Buying and redeeming

How the All-Inclusive Pass works

Bought digitally, started at your first scan, then valid on consecutive days.

  1. 1

    Choose your duration

1, 2, 3 or 5 days. You don't set a start date when you buy; the pass simply waits for your first visit.
  2. 2

    Receive it digitally

The pass arrives as a QR code in the Go City app or as a PDF. No voucher to exchange, no collection point.
  3. 3

    Refundable before activation

As long as you haven't scanned the pass, Go City refunds it in full within 90 days of purchase. Not after your first visit.

Weighing it up

What speaks against the All-Inclusive Pass, and who it suits

Against it: the days run back to back. A rest day in the middle of your stay costs you validity, and so does a rainy day when the archipelago tours don't run. Public transport isn't included, even though Gothenburg is a tram city where you'll need it constantly. And if you're only heading to a single attraction, you'll pay less at the door.

For it: the expensive items in Gothenburg are the boat tours, not the museums. As single tickets, the Archipelago Tour, the boat excursion to Vinga Island and the trip around Hisingen cost more together than the five-day pass. Do two of those and add a visit to Universeum, and the pass is clearly worth it.

The alternative: a short list with no fixed schedule points to the Essentials Pass, which spreads three visits over 30 days. The full comparison is on the variants page.

FAQ

Questions about the All-Inclusive Pass

Short answers about this variant, everything else is on the FAQ page.

Do the days count from purchase or from my first visit? +

From your first visit. The pass stays inactive after purchase until you scan it for the first time. From that moment, your booked days run in consecutive calendar days, even on days when you don't visit anything.

Can I visit an attraction twice? +

No. Each of the 22 attractions is open once per pass. The hop-on hop-off bus works differently though: its day pass counts as a single use, so you can hop on and off as often as you like within that day.

Are all attractions open year round? +

No. The archipelago tours, the excursion to Vinga Island and the trip around Hisingen are seasonal and mainly run in summer. In winter the choice shrinks noticeably to the museums, which changes the maths.
